We're a powder coating business that utilizes pure water for rinsing metal components prior to painting. Pristine set us up with a dual tank water softener, a small commercial reverse osmosis pretreatment system and a mixed bed DI tank to polish the water. This setup saves us money over traditional powder coating DI systems that use raw water and DI exchange tanks because the RO takes out most of the minerals prior to the DI tank.

We have been happy with the equipment and service that we have received from Pristine and would recommend them to others.

The Challenge

Ultra Image Powder Coating utilizes demineralized water to clean and prep their metal prior to powder coating. Costs for their old solution of in-line DI exchange cells was proving to be prohibitive.

The Solution

Pristine offered a system that pretreated the water prior to the DI cells which greatly decreased the exchanges needed. The customer’s monthly costs were cut in half. By pre-treating the water with a commercial reverse osmosis system prior to the DI exchange cell most of the contaminants were removed before reaching the DI cell.
